Natural Products Scandinavia, the Nordic region’s only dedicated trade show for the natural health, nutrition, beauty, and self-care market, co-located with Nordic Organic Food Fair returns to Malmö, Sweden, on 26-27 October, 2014.
Natural Products Scandinavia provides a dedicated and focused environment for professional buyers and sellers. Last year’s event saw an increase in visitors (including key buyers and managers from leading health stores, pharmacy chains, wholesalers and distributers) from across the Nordic region (86% of total visitors compared to 73% in 2012); whilst the number of buyers and retailers from both Sweden and Denmark almost doubled for 2013.
Thanks to its strong international appeal and growing visitor base (attendance was 3,158 in 013, up 57% from 2012), there’s been increasing demand from new companies looking to exhibit for 2014. This has led to a significant expansion in exhibition space (up 37%) to accommodate round 350 exhibiting companies across both events.
To mark the opening of online registration for 2014, event organiser Diversified Communications UK released its first preview of some of the new products to be on display this year.
In the natural beauty & skin care Dermanord Svensk Hudvård AB (stand B09) presents Face Mask More and Eye Cream More with sea buckthorn oil and Persian silk tree; Shakti International AB (stand NA37) introduces its recently launched organic Shakti Goddess Skin Care; Dentme is exhibiting its Humble Brush – a biodegradable bamboo toothbrush (stand ND23), while anti-aging skincare brand Zinobel Organic Boost (stand NA15) is launching its new Zinobel Organic Boost Rescue Hand Cream. Its vegan, organic based products have been nominated in several categories at the Danish Beauty Awards in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Natracare is celebrating its 25th anniversary, with beautiful new packaging and new product launches (stand ND06).
Pukka Herbs’ has a new food supplement range, Pukka Organic Wellbeing, designed to naturally optimise daily vitality (stand NB07C). Other tea and herbal drinks suppliers include Herbalveda (stand ND31) with its range of undiluted cold pressed, pure, and natural herbal juices; Arctic Mood ehf organic teas (stand NA33) with its blend of teas using Icelandic ingredients such as Iceland moos and Mabroc Teas (Pvt.) promoting its boutique range of 100% natural ayurvedic herbal teas (stand NC04B).
In the packaging sector Max Aarts B.V from the Netherlands (stand NA18) is introducing the next development in heat sealable banding paper. Their environmentally friendly banding labels are heat-sealable, without the PE layer, on any type of paper (MC or Kraft). The major advantage of using a paper glue spot is that the banding labels can be put with the general paper trash.
Pont Packaging bv from Sweden (stand NE18) is introducing a new cylindrical jar in glass, with twist-off closure, to its existing range for food. With a capacity of 108 ml, it can be used for a range of products, including sauces, herbs, olives, and pastes etc. Also showing: a complete range of Alpha sirop bottles in PET for liquid products;available from 100ml to 1000ml in any colour.
And new exhibitor Rosmarin Zrt from Hungary (stand NB25) is showcasing a range of household cleaning products, made with natural ingredients, most certified by ecolabel. Highlights include Super Cleaning Stone with power foam and fragrance – an efficient cleaner with a sponge inside, which helps create a natural shine; 2 Phase Cleaner; Spot Lab stain remover; and Leather Balm.
Initially developed as a way to encourage internal trading between the Nordic countries, it was soon apparent that the Natural Products Scandinavia concept had strong international appeal.
Natural Products Scandinavia, and its sister event Nordic Organic Food Fair, were selected as finalists in the ‘Best Tradeshow Exhibition (UK & International) under 2,000sqm category at the Association of Event Organisers’ Excellence Awards 2014 – the exhibition industry’s equivalent to the Oscars. Diversified UK announced that the show has been shortlisted for its second prestigious industry award (it previously won ‘Best International Launch’ at the UK’s Exhibition News Awards in 2013). “Natural Products Scandinavia is a great way of finding ecological products of every kind. The show works so well for us, as it brings together natural products from multiple sectors all in one place,” said Eva Uppvall, from Swedish health store chain Life Arvika Hälsokost, who visited in 2013.
