BioFach, the World’s most international trade fair for organic products, celebrates its 25th edition this coming February 12-15. Over 2,400 exhibitors and more than 40,000 trade buyers are expected to congregate at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg in Germany to be part of this great accomplishment.

Together with Vivaness, the International Trade Fair for Natural Personal Care, BioFach is the leading global market platform for organic food and natural cosmetics. The exhibition duo’s new executive director Petra Wolf brings many years of experience in the international exhibition business to the BioFach group.

Ms. Wolf said that BioFach is geared to Organic 3.0, and thus to the future of organic agriculture and the organic food industry.  “I hope that BioFach will continue to retain its position as the biggest complete show of its market in the world”.

“And, of course, that our customers will also be delighted with the open-minded and international atmosphere at the BioFach and Vivaness duo in future. The trade fairs live from this character – but without neglecting aspects like regionality or regional and sustainable economic cycles.

“Our focus is quite clearly on our strengths. We consistently concentrate on certified and tested organic products at BioFach.

“Together with Udo Funke, director Exhibitions BioFach and Vivaness, and his whole team, we are continuously working on achieving an inspiring and powerful start to the year for the organic sector. This is also intended to generate creative and innovative as well as powerful economic and political impetus for the future development of the market every year.”

For the past ten years, BioFach has been considered a success by most international visitors O.W.N. has spoken with. Last year the show organizers said trade visitors were delighted with the high-quality, varied and innovative range of products from the exhibitors seen at BioFach and Vivaness .

In the event analysis, two trends stand out: in 2013, attending the world’s leading trade fair again were around 6,000 dealers (retail category, natural food & health products), which corresponds to 16% of trade buyers. The international share of total visits increased from 41 to 44%. Most v isitors to the World’s Leading Trade Fair came from the retail sector (37%).

Another source of inspiration is the world’s most comprehensive congress. The new features for 2014 include a more compact timetable in blocks that give participants more time for exhibition activities in the halls and provide better orientation.

Congress visitors in 2014 can obtain information at altogether seven forums: BioFach, Sustainability, Fachhandel, HoReCa, Fair and Vivaness, plus the key theme for 2014: Organic 3.0 – The organic agriculture and food industry of tomorrow. For further information look up the website: www.biofach.com
