Natural & Organic Products Europe returns to London's ExCeL on 2-3 April. Over 10,000 professional visitors are expected at the UK's largest event covering natural and organic products. Organic, gluten-free, fermented, raw and vegan food products continue to enjoy high visibility and further market expansion. Natural plant-based ingredients – echoing consumer preferences in other categories, like food, beauty, and household, are expected to feature prominently in new product formulations for 2017.

“The UK’s organic sector is thriving and now worth £2.09 billion, according to the Soil Association’s latest Organic Market Report, with a 7.1% increase in total sales of organic products in 2016”, said Emma Louise Jones, head of PR at Diversified UK, the show organizer. And the certified organic health and beauty market grew 13 percent the same year.

“Over the past 21 years, Natural & Organic Products Europe has become recognized as the key platform for introducing new natural and organic health products onto the European market,” said Natural & Organic Products Europe’s event director Carol Dunning.

More than 700 exhibitors (a 15% increase from 2016) including all the major UK natural supplement manufacturers and suppliers, will be showing their latest products. The show organizer said that over half (55%) of the exhibitors have announced that they will be promoting certified organic products – including food and drink, health and nutrition, and beauty and personal care.  Products will carry certification seals such as: the Soil Association (over 80 confirmed licensees), Organic Food Federation, Organic Farmers & Growers, IOFGA, Demeter, Ecocert, COSMOS, EU Organic (Euro Leaf), USDA Organic, BDIH, Bioagricert, Skal, Bio Suisse, Organic Food Chain, ICEA, Kiwa BCS Öko-Garantie, and JAS.

Retailers and other industry players looking to back up these new product innovations with the latest research and advice for their customers will enjoy a rich program at three dedicated theaters. Speakers include Chris Newbold, head of clinical nutrition/technical advisor at BioCare; Graham Botfield, founder of Living Nutrition; Sebastian Pole, co-founder of Pukka Herbs; Lisa Bronner from Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps; and nutritionist Shona Wilkinson.

Natural & Organic Products Europe offers an excellent stage for buyers to discover start-ups and small and other more matured firms with interesting concepts. It is also an opportunity to confirm trends spotted at other international fairs early in the season.

The Natural & Organic Awards will be presented by food and health blogger Madeleine Shaw on Monday 3 April at 8:00 am. This year there are over 325 showcase entries competing for prestigious Natural & Organic Awards.

The winning products will be highlighted in the Showcase for visitors to see. The awards recognize the best products launched over the last twelve months and include three dedicated organic categories out of a total 13 categories.

Categories include Best New Health Product, Best New Health & Nutrition Product, Independent Retailer of the Year and the Natural Products Outstanding Achievement Award.
