BIOFACH China 2018 returns to the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from May 24 to 26 for its 12th edition. Last year the show had a new record with 476 Exhibitors (2016: 337) from 17 countries and regions, a 41.2 percent increase, and 17,755 visitors (2016: 16,546) from 34 countries and regions, a 7.3 percent increase.
BIOFACH CHINA, conducted under the patronage of IFOAM – Organics International and organized by NürnbergMesse GmbH with co-organizer NürnbergMesse China Co., has reinforced its position as Asia’s most important organic event.
Ecovia Intelligence estimates China's organic market to be worth EUR5.9 billion in 2016, while industry reports indicate increased organic purchasing and booming e-commerce sales.
"Natural and organic products with high quality have aroused people’s attention in China for years. “The sales revenue of the Chinese organic food and beverage market has raised to USD1.81 billion in 2017, of which organic dairy products is the largest category (80 percent) with 1.45 billion," said show organizer, Nuremberg Messe.
According to Nielsen’s Global Health and Wellness Survey, 40-50 percent of Chinese consumers will choose products that are natural, organic and sustainable.
BIOFACH CHINA 2018 highlights several industry sectors, such as vegan, tea, and infant and mother, to provide a one-stop service platform for organic. NATURAL WORLD, into ecological welcomes products with organic or natural ingredients, such as natural food and beverages, natural cosmetics, personal care products and natural wellness products. In 2007, 186 exhibitors took part in the first edition of BIOFACH China.Over 500 exhibitors and 20,000 trade visitors are expected at the event next month.

Two other BIOFACH events coming up are the 14th BIOFACH America Latina – BIO BRAZIL FAIR, to be held from 6 to 9 June 2018 at a new venue, the Anhembi exhibition venue in São Paulo expecting further growth according to the organizers, Francal Feiras in partnership with NürnbergMesse Brazil.
And BIOFACH SOUTH EAST ASIA, the seventh member of the BIOFACH family, will open its doors for the first time at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Nonthaburi, Bangkok, from 12 to 15 July 2018. The show will take place at the same time as the NATURAL EXPO SOUTH EAST ASIA, which showcases natural products currently in the process of organic certification.
